AT OXYGEN.......We offer you more!ONE DAY INTRODUCTORY LESSON $249This course is designed to introduce you to the sport of paragliding. By the end of this class you'll have a general knowledge of the sport, a feel for the paraglider, and the chance to decide if paragliding is for you. The class, which lasts around 5 hours, will introduce you to the equipment, cover flight theory and basic skills, and get your feet off the ground with small controlled flights. All equipment is provided. Since most students in our introductory class are excited about continuing training, we've designed this course so that you can transition seamlessly into our Beginner/Novice certification class, with the cost of the introductory course applied. FULL CERTIFICATION COURSE P1-P4Beginner – Novice Certification Course - and Advanced Ratings(LOS ANGELES $1950) (SAN FRANCISCO $1950)This P1/P2, certification course will give you all the training and experience you need to become a USHPA certified pilot and confidently fly without supervision. The course includes lessons on flight theory, weather, equipment, and flight specific skills. You'll begin paragliding with small flights on gentle slopes and gradually move up to ridge soaring and circling inside mountain thermals. All gear is provided for the duration of the class and you'll also receive a training manual, flight log, and training syllabus. Advanced Skills P3/P4 Certification (Free) Continue progressing in the sport by building the skills that will make you a pilot who can confidently fly mountains, beach, or flat land cross-country sites all around the world. When you feel like you’re ready for a new rating, and you’ve accumulated the flights and demonstrated the abilities required, we’ll sign you off. Unlike other schools, we charge you nothing extra At Oxygen, its all part of our initial package..... Students who complete our certification courses will receive exclusive discounts on equipment purchases, travel adventures, and advanced training clinics. Course PreparationStudents attending on the hill training will be asked to wear ankle supportive shoes and full-length pants. We also suggest that you bring appropriate food and water, and sunscreen.
Classes usually commence in the early mornings, and continue till mid-afternoon, so conditions, and temperatures can vary dramatically. Dressing in layers (e.g. t-shirt, fleece, windbreaker) is recommended. After your first class we also require that you check weather conditions before arriving on site, a habit you will keep for your entire time as a pilot. PRIVATE INTENSIVE $375 per dayUnlike our One Day Intro, P1-P2 package, or "Pay as you Go" program where students are often in a group environment, our private intensive program allows students to work one on one with their instructor.
